As the world waits to see if the UK will recover from the H1N1 pandemic, the BBC has put together a guide to the best and worst schools for your flu prevention.
In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends people get vaccinated within 72 hours of their first symptoms and, as in the UK, they should wait for a few weeks before they begin a new course.
If you live near a school, check whether the schools are currently closed and if they have any free flu vaccinations.
In the UK there are some schools that are open for free, so it is important to check their flu vaccination policy before visiting.
