For all the attention and hype around the new Denver Public Schools new charter schools, it may not be a lot of money.
The Denver Public School system has spent $6.3 million in the first two years of the new charter school program.
In 2017-18, Denver Public school districts spent $1.7 million.
In the first half of 2018, the Denver Public schools budget was $634,000.
That’s up from $531,000 in 2017-2018.
Denver Public School districts are looking for more than 6,000 new teachers.
And some are already signed up.
“We have more than 5,000 teachers now, so we have a very strong base of teachers,” said Mike Cipolla, the district’s superintendent of schools.
“I’ve seen that from a number of different districts,” he said.
“We have about 100,000 students and we are not overbooked.”
In Denver, Denver public schools has one charter school that is expected to open by the end of the year.
That would be the Denver Charter School Academy, which is a charter school run by the city of Denver.
Denver is now one of only nine public school districts in the nation that is looking for a new charter teacher.
The district is hoping that its new charter teachers will help them meet the needs of the growing population.
Cipolla said the charter school is not only going to have better staffing than the traditional schools.
It is also going to offer a more diverse curriculum.
“It’s going to be a very high-quality curriculum, but also one that is geared towards our students, but one that we have access to to provide the best possible education,” Cipona said.
The new Denver Charter Schools will be located at 1030 S. Main St., Denver.
The school district is also partnering with a local elementary school and a high school to offer some of the classes at the new school.
