Tupac Shakur was known as the “most influential” rapper of his generation, and his life was tragically cut short in February 1991.
His murder in Los Angeles at the hands of an armed assailant shocked the nation and forever changed hip-hop, with his murder leading to decades of debate and criticism about the nature of violence in the genre.
Now, two decades after the murder, the Tupac biopic “Bad Boy” is finally getting the attention it deserves, thanks to a new book written by filmmaker Mark Ruffalo and produced by Ruffalo’s family.
The book “Bad Boys” is a celebration of Tupac’s life, his music, and the way the rapper became what he is today.
It also has an emotional and personal tone that resonates with fans of the artist.
It chronicles Tupac and his entourage’s days at the Ritz-Carlton, and their stay in Los Feliz in the early days of his career.
In “Bad Boi,” we get a peek at the lives of Tupachos family, including his father, uncle, and half-brother, and of his friends and fans.
The book also chronicles the rapper’s life before he met Tupac in a car in Las Vegas on December 16, 1991, and how Tupac was raised in a home in Compton.
In the book, the writer discusses the time when Tupac learned that his mother, Rochelle, had been diagnosed with cancer.
Tupac said he learned his mother had passed away shortly after, which he was devastated to learn.
The book details Tupacs childhood and early years in Compton, as he went to a predominantly black school.
“Bad Boy,” which hits shelves Thursday, will tell the story of Tupacs family in Compton through his years at the city’s Ritz Carlton Hotel.
It is the latest chapter in a saga that has seen Tupac grow from a young boy into an iconic artist who would go on to create some of the most iconic songs of all time.
In addition to writing the book himself, Ruffalo has also directed and produced “Bad Bitch,” which he co-wrote with his brother, RZA.
Ruffalo and his wife, Carol, have been married for 11 years and are the parents of two children.
The couple had their first child in 2011, and they welcomed a second baby in 2013.
The authors were inspired to write “Bad BOi” after Tupac asked Ruffalo to do a documentary about his life, which Ruffalo produced.
“It was an honor to be part of it, to be in it,” Ruffalo said.
A film of Tupak’s life will air on HBO starting in 2018.
“Bad Rap” will follow his life after the death of his mother in 1991, while “Bad Kid” will focus on his life during the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement.
“It’s all about my mother, my life, my legacy,” Tupac told Ruffalo during a tour of the film.
After “Bad Girl” won the Golden Globe for best documentary at the 2017 Oscars, Ruffalos co-directed a biopic of Tupack’s life titled “Bad Guy.”
The author and Ruffalo co-produced the film, which also starred his brother and his daughter.
Tupac’s brother, Earl, is one of the stars of the HBO film, as is his daughter, Lil’ Kim.
On the book’s release date, the author and the filmmakers said, “Bad boys are like any other boys, they grow up, they get older, they fall apart, they go to jail, they break up, and that’s life.
Bad Boy is about the lives we live.
We are living our lives, and this is how we tell them.”
Riffalo also spoke with MTV News about how his film is being handled.
“We didn’t expect the level of interest, because it’s an extraordinary story,” he said.
“The book itself is about his legacy and what he did in terms of music and politics, and what his legacy is, and we’ve seen how he impacted the world.
We’re thrilled to be able to share it with people who are interested in what Tupac did.”
“A lot of people will recognize that the Tupas were a family that were the most influential, but they also were a community of young black men,” Ruffalos said.
“”So that’s the heart of the book.
What was really exciting for me was that they didn’t look like it, they didn`t talk like it.
But we got a whole new audience that is interested in these things, and I think that’s what this film was about.
