How do you find the most school of rock in your home state?
That’s the question asked by Dr. Michael Hines and Dr. Jennifer Zuber at EdisonsHigh School and the Edisons Community School in the Edison High School District in Oklahoma.
The authors analyzed over 200 schools in the United States, which included schools located in New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Seattle, San Diego, Denver, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, and Washington, DC.
In Oklahoma, the schools ranked as the most popular for students with disabilities, with the largest share of students in grades 7 to 12 in grades 4 through 8.
The schools that had the largest percentages of students with physical disabilities were in Oklahoma City and Oklahoma City Area Schools.
Hines and Zuber also analyzed the top 10 states with the most student-athletes with disabilities.
They found that the top four states were Texas, Kansas, Mississippi, and Florida.
In addition, the top five states were New York, California, Texas, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.
The top states for the number of students participating in sports were Florida, New York State, North Carolina, Ohio, Illinois, and Minnesota.
The top states with a high percentage of athletes with disabilities were Tennessee, Mississippi and Georgia.
The states with largest percentages for students who participate in sports with disabilities included Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
