Goldfish swim schools are back on the curriculum in Oregon, but parents are getting a surprise.
The Goldfish Swim School in Liberty Middle School is back on schedule, after it was suspended for one year.
The district said the suspension came after it learned of a number of safety concerns regarding the school.
The suspension came a week after a state investigation found the school was not properly supervised, was poorly equipped, and that staff members did not have proper training.
Goldfish Swim Schools is the only one in the state that offers fish swim classes.
Parents said they were concerned the school would not be able to provide the quality of instruction required by the state.
The school said it was considering reinstating the class after the suspension, but is not yet ready to make a decision.
